Episode 155: WCW Slamboree 1996 (Battle Bowl)

THAT'S RIGHT! IT'S BATTLE BOWL! What does that mean? It means we're getting 30 matches on 1 freaking pay-per-view. Will they mean anything? Sure, if you think "randomly" selecting tag partners to face off until they finally get into a mid-card battle royal where the prize is a literal ring...then yeah, it means something. Besides that, we've got Dean Malenko putting his Cruiserweight Title on the line against Brad Armstrong (older brother of Road Dogg), Konnan defending the United States Title against Jushin Thunder Liger, and The Giant defending his World Heavyweight Title against Sting. While WCW was about to hit a super hot period, you couldn't necessarily tell by this card. It's okay, though, because we spice it up and have a lot of laughs! Episode 154: ECW Hardcore Heaven ’99

For an ECW, we've done way worse and we WILL DO way worse. This one actually wasn't that bad. There were, per usual, a lot of very questional booking decisions. There were also some God awful matches and the usual ECW tropes. However, those weren't enough to drag this show down to the depths of usual ECW pay-per-views. Taz was supposed to wrestle Chris Candido in the main event, but that didn't happen because Candido and Tammy were leaving, so Heyman wanted to squash him early. So, instead, we get a thread with the Dudley Boys all night, taking out randos and then trying to take out Taz. Besides that, we got possibly the greatest RVD vs. Jerry Lynn match ever, Little Guido taking on Yoshihiro Tajiri, a special appearance by Sid, and much more! Episode 153: WWE Judgment Day 2004

The set is one of the most iconic ever for a WWE pay-per-view, but one word sums this show up: mid! From surprisingly disappointing matches from RVD & Rey Mysterio vs. The Dudley Boyz to Undertaker vs. Booker T, to not shockingly disappointing matches like Rico & Charlie Haas vs. Hardcore Holly & Billy Gunn to John Cena vs. Rene Dupree to Torrie Wilson vs. Dawn Marie, and even the debut of Mordecai vs. Scotty 2 Hotty...this show was meh. The main event was incredibly bloody, however, when Eddie Guerrero literal buckets of blood while defending his WWE Title against John "Bradshaw" Layfield. So...that was interesting! There was also a SERIOUSLY racist promo before the main event, delivered by JBL. Episode 152: WCW WrestleWar 1992

This really was a 1-match show, but that 1 match sure delivered the goods! In the main event WarGames match, Sting's Squadron (Sting, Barry Windham, Dustin Rhodes, Ricky Steamboat and Nikita Koloff) faced off against the Dangerous Alliance (Steve Austin, Rick Rude, Arn Anderson, Bobby Eaton and Larry Zbyszko) in a bloody, brutal, awesome match full of carnage! A match to determine the #1 contenders for the IWGP Tag Team Titles (involving the Steiners) is also pretty good, partners Flyin' Brian and The Z-Man explode for the WCW Light Heavyweight Championship, Terry Taylor and Greg Valentine defend the WCW US Tag Titles against the Fabulous Freebirds, and Johnny B. Badd is in action. We've also got a lot of goofy gimmicks like Big Josh and the Super Invader, so there's that. TNA was shippin' off the Boston for 2008's Lockdown event! In the main event, we've got Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle for the TNA World Title and Joe's career is on the line. In Lethal Lockdown, it's an all-star cast of Team Christian Cage vs. Team Tomko! The rest of the card was...meh. It was there. It was nothing to write home about, but we have some fun laughing at some of this ridiculous booking. There are multiple matches where they try to see how many people you can jam into one cage, one match where you have to handcuff your opponents to the cage to eliminate them, and there are some goofy freaking gimmicks all over this card. BONUS: WCW Thunder, 04-26-00 (Arquette Wins the World Title)

Yes...this is THAT SHOW. Not only did the main event of the secondary show involve a tag-team match for the WCW World Heavyweight Title, but a Hollywood actor pinned the President of the company to win the belt. Yup...this is all real. This would also be the third title change in less than 2 weeks. WCW was dead at this point, but this just really drove the knife in deeper, making sure that body was a corpse. Beyond this, we've got Ernest Miller in action against Bam Bam Bigelow, Billy Kidman continuing his feud with Hulk Hogan (through ANOTHER Hogan), Sting in a Tables match against The Wall (that actually happened), Tammy (AKA, Sunny) "wrestles" against Paisley (AKA, Sharmell), and everyone gets a run-in and an afterbirth to their matches. In the news, we discuss controversies over the WWF's TV deals, a WCW wrestler facing a WWF wrestler for the ECW Title in ECW, Tazz getting buried in WWF, and WCW continuously crapping the bed at every turn on both TV and PPV. Episode 150: WCW Spring Stampede 1998

We're taking a trip down memory lane to revisit one of the least memorable events in WCW history, Spring Stampede 1998. You'd think that with the list of big names on this show, it would've been a hit, but that didn't work for us, BROTHER! There were some good matches, like Booker T vs. Chris Benoit, Ultimo Dragon vs. Chavo Guerrero, Chris Jericho vs. Prince Iaukea for the Cruiserweight Title, and even Raven vs. DDP for the US Title was a mess...but a fun mess. Other than that, Rick Steiner and Lex Luger continued their boring feud with Scott Steiner and Buff Bagwell while the heels faked injuries, Curt Hennig and British Bulldog put on a bland match that was secondary to the shenanigans outside the ring, a severely injured Macho Man faced Sting to a meh match in the main event, and Hollywood Hogan teams with Kevin Nash to take on The Giant and Roddy Piper in a Baseball Bat on a Pole match...and it sucked a high, hard one. The NWO is exploding here, so at least we'd soon get the Wolfpack. Episode 149: ECW Barely Legal 1997

This may be one of the greatest ECW shows ever and was their very first ever pay-per-view. Terry Funk takes on the Sandman and Stevie Richards in a 3-Way Dance where the winner will face Raven in the main event for the ECW Title. This was a big, crowning moment not only for Funk but also for the company as a whole. Shane Douglas and Pitbull #2 had a brutal brawl over Douglas breaking Pitbull #1's neck. Taz and Sabu has an awesome fight to culminate their blood feud, and this one ends in a big twist! There's also much more on this show. Episode 148: TNA Lockdown 2005 (The First Lockdown)

This was the first ever Lockdown event in TNA history, where every...single...match was contested inside of a steel cage. And ya know...it wasn't bad! Jeff Hardy and Raven have a match that is pretty much a "hat on a hat" as they have a Tables match inside of the Six Sides of Steel. AJ Styles and Abyss have a brutal match to determine who will face the NWA Champion at Hard Justice. America's Most Wanted defends the NWA Tag-Team Titles against Team Canada's Petey Williams and Eric Young. Bobby Roode and Dustin Rhodes face off in a 2-out-of-3 falls match where for the 3rd fall, they have to wear blindfolds. ... Yes, that's real. Also, STOP ME IF YOU'VE HEARD THIS ONE BEFORE! Kevin Nash has to pull out of a match due to injury. So, "Team Nash" in Lethal Lockdown consists of DDP, Sean Waltman, and BG James. Also, unfortunately, Chris Candido suffers an injury on this show that will end his life.
