Episode 106: TNA Slammiversary 2007

TNA Slammiversary V wasn't a show that exactly set the woods on fire, but overall, it was a pretty decent show. It was a time capsule of where TNA (now Impact Wrestling) was at the time. Can you believe they started in 2002 and are still around!? The main event is TNA's signature King of the Mountain match between Kurt Angle, AJ Styles, Christian Cage, Samoa Joe, and Chris Harris (replacing Jeff Jarrett). Jeff Jarrett couldn't attend the show after the passing of his wife, Jill. Rick Steiner also had to find a replacement partner as he took on Team 3D when Scott nearly died from a throat injury suffered in Puerto Rico. All of that is combined with Abyss and Tomko having a ridiculous No Disqualification match that you have to see to believe. Episode 105: WCW Beach Blast 1992

Back in 1992, WCW was an interesting place. Ric Flair, who was the hood ornament for WCW for years was now in the WWF. Ricky Steamboat was back, Sting stepped up as a top guy, and Rick Rude came into the "company down south" to be a main eventer. Also, while the WWF's leader was constant with Vince McMahon, WCW was on their 3rd (maybe 4th?) leader within the last few years with Bill Watts at the helm. Episode 103: WCW Slamboree 1997 (WCW vs NFL)

It was the night 3 NFL superstars (one now a fulltime wrestler) took part in a WCW pay-per-view! Slamboree was never one of WCW's marquee events throughout the year, but they tried to bring the goods in one of greatest years in company history (at least in our opinions). Not only did former Chicago Bear, Steve "Mongo" McMichael go one-on-one with Green Bay Packer and future Hall of Famer, Reggie White, but North Carolina Panther and future Hall of Famer, Kevin Greene, teamed with the legendary "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and "Nature Boy" Ric Flair to take on the NWO team of Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Syxx. Chris Benoit faced off against Meng in a Death Match, the Dungeon of Doom implodes, Glacier and Mortis continue their feud as Wrath is brought into the fold, Ultimo Dragon and Lord Steven Regal have a banger for the TV Title, and Rey Mysterio Jr. takes on a NJPW star. BONUS: WWF Saturday Night’s Main Event 1

Coming out of WrestleMania I, we had Saturday Night's Main Event debuting on NBC in May of 1985! These shows were always structured weird, and this one was the first one to do so. The "main event" was actually the second match on the show, with Hulk Hogan defending the WWF Title against "Cowboy" Bob "Ace" Orton. Wendi Richter also puts her WWF Ladies Wrestling Title on the line against the legendary Fabulous Moolah while Cyndi Lauper cheers her on. The show also takes place on Mother's Day, so we get a lot of special stuff going on to celebrate mothers (oddly enough, Mr. T doesn't talk about his mama). In the news, we also talk for almost an hour about the state of the territories in the United States as well as wrestling abroad in Japan and in Mexico. Episode 101: ECW Wrestlepalooza 1998

ECW was always the "wild west" of professional wrestling. The Marks (Troy & Greg) were not fans, but they're expanding their horizons by covering this one. Rob Van Dam and Sabu (both clients of Bill Alfonso) were feuding over the TV Title. The Dudley Boyz took on Tommy Dreamer and Sandman (who was wrestling with a neck injury). Bam Bam Bigelow and New Jack brawled all over the arena. Closing the show, Al Snow gets his shot at the ECW World Heavyweight Title against Shane Douglas, who is wrestling with a laundry list of injuries. This was Al Snow's final appearance in ECW before hopping over the WWF, so he tried to make it special. Episode 99: TNA Lockdown 2012 (Roode vs. Storm)

It's Lockdown, where every match is held inside of a steel cage! We're going a decade back in history to when Bobby Roode was riding high as the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. He put his title on the line, in the main event, in a cage, against "The Cowboy" James Storm in Storm's hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. Opening the show (for the first time ever) is Lethal Lockdown, where Team Garett faces Team Eric. The losing Bischoff is fired from TNA and can never use the Bischoff name again. Yes, this was a real stipulation. The TNA Knockouts Title and Knockouts Tag Titles are also defended in some pretty bad matches. Kurt Angle, with a bad wheel, faces Jeff Hardy, who has a chronic limp. So, that one was interesting to watch.
